A Low-Recoil Compact .380 Pistol for Carry - The Browning 1911-380 I found that the BLMP 1911-380 was accurate at close combat distances of 15 yards and less, had great ergonomics, and had many special features. I did have some concerns about its failure to lock the slide back, after some mags were empty. So I used several different brands and types of JHP and FMJ ammo to further test it. No ammo problem. If I pull the hammer back then it'll fire correctly. Happens at least once each mag. I'm pretty sure this only happened with this ammo, but I think it might have happened once or twice with the other ammo I've used.

Browning 1911-380 Handgun troubleshooting | Browning Owners The problem was the front of the mag feed lips were spread too far. New Browning 1911-380 Issue | Handgun Forum Most feeding issues with 1911-style pistols revolve around magazine feed lips and feed ramps. If the magazine isn't working well, try another magazine. If that doesn't work, try doing a ramp-and-chamber polish job. (Ask me for instructions.) If all that doesn't help, see a really good pistol-gunsmith. SamBond Registered Joined Aug 30, 2016
